Experience
2002-2006 - Real Capital Markets, a Commercial Real Estate Service Provider, Carlsbad, California
2005-2006 Sr Web Developer:
• Redesign database for new website.
• Complete rewrite of application using ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studion 2005, SQL2005, Telerik Controls, Team Foundation and C#. This was not just a recode. This was a complete redesign and architecture. The main requirement was to simulate a desk top application on the web (e.g. OWA). UI, Application (i.e. business logic) and data access layers. Created framework so that all it took to add a new application was to change the config.xml file and the new application loaded.
This included a web based document management system, project management and user management. Security allowed for very fine control of all aspects of the website (grant and deny for all objects).
2003-2005 VP of Development
• Participate in operational management issues
• Participate in duties of a startup company
• Use VB, ASP, .Net, SQL Server, MSCS, Javascript and various third-party products. The site does listings, Print On Demand, Document Management, tracking, reporting, etc. for the larger Commercial Real Estate Brokers.

1999-2001

• Reorganized existing product group to improve process, schedules, and quality (Project was a year behind and no quality control existed)
• Instituted process management to obtain schedule predictability and product quality
• Separated QA and Development and made QA manager responsible for quality and establishment of QA processes
• The product was called Apptivity. Apptivity was a Java AppServer development product written in C++ and Java
• Created new Integration Services product group. This group developed software products to integrate various messaging systems, data transfer tools, protocols and AppServers in a scalable and manageable manner.
• Software was all based on the Progress JMS product, SonicMQ. All development was done in Java.
• Use of NT, Solaris, HP/UX, Linux and AIX.
• Of the four development teams my team was the only team to come in on schedule and within budget. This achievement allowed the sales and marketing people to prepare for promotions and sales with confidence that the product would be done on time and with excellent quality assurance.

• Developed cache mechanism for messaging middleware to improve message delivery, which allowed the applications to have timely data to allow MAC personnel to make critical timely decisions.
• Developed cache engine for database engine used by applications. This reduced over all system load. Air Force able to run on existing hardware. During critical periods (e.g. war in Panama) timely information is very critical.
