Software Engineer

Leading company is seeking top notch software engineers with strong .Net experience
Software engineer.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: Position entails extensive work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop complex electromechanical, medium production volume products. Focus is on cargo security and logistics products; experience in this or a related industry is a plus. Develop and design the software from available documentation, peer interaction and existing source code. Must have demonstrated proficiency in C++/MFC. Perform unit and integration testing and support system and acceptance testing as required. Determine procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of programs. Typical assignments involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total systems problems or applications. Exercise judgment within broadly defined procedures and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Highly motivated self starter with the desire and ability to quickly learn new technologies, programming languages and methodologies. Ability to analyze existing systems and come up to speed quickly.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 5+ years programming in C++ in industry. Experience with MFC
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with C++, MFC, .NET in a Windows environment a plus. Strong TCP/IP client server application development a plus. Experience processing image data and image conversion a plus. Experience with XML data protocols and development a plus. Experience with WEB and GUI development a plus. Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment. Self directed and able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities. Strong communications and people skills. Flexibility in project assignments and technologies.
